Vintage original 22 x 28" (55 x 70 cm.) half sheet poster, USA. Sterling Hayden, Louis Calhern, Jean Hagen, James Whitmore, Sam Jaffe, Marilyn Monroe, dir: John Huston, MGM. Paper-backed, with creases at all four corners. Corner pinholes and a few small inter tears in the lower left side addressed, as was a long horizontal crease/tear from mid left side to mid-point of poster. Displays beautifully, very good-fine. Classic film noir about a heist which, after being successfully executed, unravels with tragic consequences. Though John Huston intended the role of Angela Phinlay for Lola Albright, Marilyn Monroe won the role and it was the first in which her great dramatic abilities were explored. Poster features Monroe prominently, thanks to agent Johnny Hyde's work in placing her there amongst the film's MGM contract players. N° de ref. del artículo 5756
