The covers are very grubby and there is a crease across the top and bottom corners of the front cover and the top left-hand corner of the rear cover. The covers are scuffed and chipped and have generally seen better days. The front cover is stained on the centre panel. Age tanning to pages making them rather brown but still eminently readable. It looks like the book may have been damp/wet at some point as there are water marks to the first few pages at the leading edge and there is some staining to the bottom of most of the pages (see photo). Please note: The photos make the covers look more white and clean than they actually are. The white panel is very yellow.
