After divorcing Albert in 1919, Mileva maintained her residence in Zurich, Switzerland until the end of her litfe and never remarried. Though the divorce proceedings were very bitter, a reconciliation of sorts was achieved by the late twenties, and in the last two decades of her life several hundred letters were written by Albert to Mileva and to their sons."
