It may be a first, but I'm not sure, and is probably her most important work. A previous owner, Raul Gutieres Echaverria, has signed his name on several pages. The binding is in wraps ie "en rustica" in Spanish. She is the Nobel Prize author from Chile. She dedicated this book and all the proceeds to the refugees of the Spanish Civil War which explains the inscription in Spanish, "Regards from the Basque children and from Gabriela Mistral/ Recuerdos de los ninos vascos y de Gabriela Mistral.".
