First edition, small (4 3/4" X 6 1/2") chapbook in light blue covers, 4 pp + limitation page and a bonus of 24 extra pages of HPL stories. The chapbook is a facsimile reproduction of Lovecraft's original essay on the infamous book as published by W.H. Shepherd, The Rebel Press. This is #242 of only 500 Necronomicon copies. This title is often confusing due reprints of reprints, et al, with some selling (hopefully, I assume) for over $100. To be very clear, this particular copy is dated 1977 on front cover. First inside page is an onionskin limitation page stating that "500 copies of this edition, the first, have been printed." Hence I believe this is a true first edition. Note: some say 450 copies, 50 having been lost during shipping. Due to the skimpiness of this very scarce booklet, I am including with it 3 separate Lovecraft stories: Polaris (4 pp), The Outsider (8 pp), and The Tomb (12 pp). These three are on glossy white paper with no info as to who published them (and I don't remember where I got them from). Chapbook is fine but has my name-stamp on back cover; the 3 stories are fine.
