Spine ends frayed, with small cuts and small loss, cut along joints repaired, boards faded, internally book in very good condition. - Egyptologist Lepsius (1810-1884) personal account of the Prussian Expedition to Egypt of 1842/45, which travelled from Alexandria up the Nile to Nubia, and across the desert from Fayyum to the Libyan Desert. Although an official account of the expedition was published as >Denkmäler aus Ägypten und Äthiopien (Berlin: 1849-1858)<, Lepsius `felt that an account of the external circumstances of the expedition was also necessary.
