Trasladado a América en 1588, residió primero en Quito y luego en Lima, donde publicó Curia filípica y Laberinto de comercio terrestre y naval, obras de gran prestigio en su época, hasta el punto de constituir, esta última, el único tratado de derecho mercantil español hasta el s. XIX. Encuadernación en plena pasta española de la época con lomo y puntas restauradas. Soberbia letra tipográfica a dos columnas, con pequeños capitulares xilograbados en madera, sobre buen papel de hilo de agradable carteo al pasarlo y buena mano. Cantos decorados.
