Despite having no signature, it is generally believed that the plates and the title page are the work of the engraver Agostino Musi, called Agostino Veneziano (1490 circa - post 1536).

Extraordinario grabado del artista italiano del Renacimiento Agostino Veneziano (1490-1536) sobre invención de Andrea del Sarto representando a Cristo sostenido por tres ángeles, el de la derecha se arrodilla sobre el tocón de un árbol. Inscripción: "AV 1516" firmado en una tableta en la parte inferior derecha. El British Museum no posee ninguna impresión original de este rarísimo grabado. Agostino Veneziano, cuyo nombre original era Agostino Musi, (1490?1540) fue un grabador italiano del Renacimiento quien, al igual que otros grabadores como Marco Dente y Bernardo Daddi, se engloba en el círculo de artistas que trabajaron a la sombra de Marcantonio Raimondi, grabador predilecto de Rafael Sanzio. Como ellos, se especializó en el grabado de reproducción para surtir al creciente mercado de estampas de los grandes del Renacimiento. 288x218mm. (11¼x8½").
