Sie hatte bis zu 600 Mitglieder. Durch Muehls autoritäres Auftreten verließen danach immer mehr Kommunarden die Gruppe. 1991 wurde Otto Muehl in Österreich wegen Kindesmissbrauchs und Verstoßes gegen das Suchtgiftgesetz zu sieben Jahren Haft verurteilt.
