Mentre il De situ orbis di Mela, la più antica opera latina di geografia, e il Polyhistor di Solino, con notizie strane e curiose su vari paesi del mondo, erano già stati pubblicati in precedenza, le altre quattro opere appaiono qui per la prima volta. Particolarmente interessante è il De regionibus urbis Romae di Publius Victor, una specie di guida della città sotto forma di dettagliato elenco dei principali edifici, monumenti e vie dell'antica Roma. 6 parti in un volume, 8° (153 x 96mm). Le due opere, analoghe nell'argomento e con stesso stampatore, furono anticamente rilegate insieme dal primo possessore.L'opera del Mela, composta nel I secolo, è la più antica opera geografica conservata della letteratura latina e con essa l'Autore volle descrivere il mondo conosciuto all'epoca, seguendo le coste mediterranee in senso antiorario e concentrandosi principalmente sulla descrizione fisica dei luoghi.
