Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Good. First Edition Thus. Major short story collection by Kaffka Margit, first edition thus. This title originally appeared in 1910 but after her death in 1918 it was reissued with the addition of many new stories. Publisher's card covers lettered and illustrated in brown and green, top edges uncut. Vague grubbiness to covers but quite sound. Most uncommon, particularly in the original binding.

Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Very Good Indeed. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very Good. First Edition Thus. Very rare edition of Kaffka Margit's great novel, issued by a Hungarian publishing house in the Hungarian-speaking region of the former Yugoslavia. Not many copies would have been printed - I would guess fewer than 1000 - and of those very few can have survived, both due to the political upheavals in the region and the fragility of the book. In publisher's illustrated card covers and in full-colour dw with biography and portrait of the author to rear panel. Minor edge wear to dw else in nice condition and internally spotless.

Añadir al carritoCondición: Good Only. First Edition. Rare first edition in publisher's card covers of this 72pp short story collection by Kaffka Margit. Issued as a double issue (48-49) in the Tevan Konyvtar and with ads for the series inside front cover listing this as the last title (i.e. first issue). Light tan covers lettered and illustrated in red, black and green. Chipping to btittle card covers and with a small patch (approx. 3 x 2 cms.) mysteriously missing from top centre of cover. The few copies of this fragile item that have survived at all have mostly been rebound in cloth. Desperately scarce in this original state.

Añadir al carritoCondición: BUONO USATO. Godot ITALIANO IL LIBRO È USATO, PERTANTO POTREBBE PRESENTARE LIEVI DIFETTI/IMPERFEZIONI. Condición: Good. First Edition. Almost certainly the most important novel by a female writer in Hungarian. Kaffka Margit was the only member of the Nyugat school and published several verse collections, short stories and novellas in addition to this major novel. This copy is in the publisher's original cloth binding, plum-coloured with elaborate and beautiful decoration in gold and white, all edges lightly speckled, floral endpapers. Wear to extremities with very neat repairs; a clean and sound copy of an extremely scarce and important literary work, recently translated for the first time into English and now, rather belatedly, attaining some richly deserved international recognition.
