All illustrations called for in the list of illustrations are present including the folded map. The map has a closed tear not affecting the main areas and the map has be mis- folded - probably more than once and has some ceases, but it is legible and clear to read. , pp. xxiv, 380 of text and with 202 illustrations and map. The illustrations are of photographic origin - presumably taken by the authors and appear to be good representations of the numerous places visited. They form a good repreentation of the way these place looked at the time- before restorations were really done to many of them. No names or bookplates. Overall, very good copy. Note: due to size and weight, shipping outside the USA or priority shipping may cost more than an average book.
