Alexander Chizhevsky (born Aleksandr Leonidovich Tchijevsky, and also known as Aleksandr Chizhevskii, and the phonetic, Aleksandr Chizevsky), 7th February 1897 (Gregorian Calendar) (being January 26 in the Julian Calendar)–20th December 1964 (Gregorian Calendar) was a Belorussian interdisciplinary scientist variously described as physiologist, biophysicist, cycles researcher, and founder of heliobiology, astrobiology, historiometry, heliotaraxy (heliotaraxia) and aero-ionification. He is most famous for realizing the link between the 11 year solar cycles, Earth’s climate and the mass movement of peoples.
