Thanks for checking out my bio! I spent my youth competing and coaching gymnastics. I trained in Nadia Comaneci and Bart Connor's gymnastic center in Norman Oklahoma until I retired due to injury at the early age of 16. I qualified to the state championships every year I competed and won many first place medals during that time. My greatest delight was coaching the levels below me. After retiring from gymnastics I spent time studying Taekwondo. I earned my black belt and instructor ranking and again began teaching the levels below me. It was during this time that I discovered the circus arts and fell absolutely in love! I trained with two flying trapeze groups (2009) and learned to assist them in coaching and spotting. I am a teacher at heart and love to share my passions. I feel confident in my ability to understand the body, how it works with the art and how to properly verbalize instructions to my students. Since then I taught Aerial Silks for Portico Dance Theater in Tulsa, Oklahoma (2010-12) , I learned from and taught for Circusoul (2012-13) and for the past 3 years I opened and ran my own aerial arts school in Sarasota, Florida. (Sarasota Warrior) I have offered pole, acro yoga, basic gymnastics, aerial yoga and aerial silks classes with our specialties being the last two. I have immersed myself in all things aerial and I love the world I live in. I have had hundreds of students pass through my school and I have learned a little more about teaching from each one of them. My knowledge and strength as a teacher has blossomed and I am thankful for every moment I have had with my students. I adore sharing my passion with them and am thankful to now put my passions down on paper!
