The edifice, built during the 1970s, seems to be filled with older, hard drinking, extremely curious and, in some cases, rather awkward individuals. Emma is a refreshing sight to them. Her beloved Grandma Ilse used to run the owners' association of the 'La Palma' building. Shortly after resigning she killed herself - or so it seems. Having started to ask questions Emma discovers a dried out corpse... not the last one. Soon she herself gets into danger. Is there anyone aorund whom she can put her trust in? By the way Emma - and, following her, the reader of this novel - discovers popular as well as secret places and great sites on Tenerife.

Armand Amapolas: that's an alias. The author is a German journalist who loved to write for those ancient things called newspapers. He worked as editor and foreign correspondent and lives in Berlin.
