Allie: Lofini Preem is a fantasy/adventure story about power and control. Who has it, who doesn't and who are just fooling themselves. It takes place on - and below - the world of Rion, where the tiny race known as the Sindri lives in hiding from the giants on the surface. To protect themselves, the Sindri have created a mythology that they don't even exist. But evolving technology means this is no longer possible, unless the giants can be knocked off balance by fighting a war between themselves, while the Sindri watch in relative safety from their Underground. Allie is a Preem, one of five guardians of the Sindri civilization, who must protect them from a manufactured conflict that she herself might not survive.
Biografía del autor
Daphne Gilmore made her living primarily as a broadcast newswriter for 25 years until an MS relapse made that impossible. Not all the skills carry over into fiction writing, but getting lost in a make-believe world turns out to be good therapy. Plus, she no longer has to use phrases such as "burned beyond recognition."
